  1. Choose your distance

    Turn around anywhere, walk about 15 minutes to Cashmere Park, or continue to Ferniehurst Street for a trip of roughly 20 minutes each way.

  2. Follow the river

    The flat route suits prams, scooters and bikes. Benches and picnic tables provide regular stopping points.

  3. Barrington Street crossing

    About 10 minutes from the start the route crosses Barrington Street. Keep young children close, then continue on the riverside path.

  4. Parks along the way

    A sign marks the early turn-off to Thorrington Reserve. Cashmere Park at the other end has toilets and a drinking fountain.

  5. Take care

    Watch the river edge, seasonal berries and the electric fence near the start beside the day spa. Dogs must remain on lead.
