- Validity
- Vouchers are valid for 36 months. The expiry date is printed on the issued voucher.
- Redemption and balances
- Choose pay on arrival and redeem the voucher in store. Unused value remains on the voucher until it is used or the voucher expires. The voucher cannot pay an online price difference.
- Using vouchers
- The same voucher may be used across multiple bookings while value remains. Multiple vouchers cannot currently be combined in one booking.
- Cash redemption
- The issued voucher cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
- Refunds
- Gift-voucher purchases are non-refundable; please choose the value carefully.
- Giving it to someone else
- A voucher may be transferred or gifted to another person. Anyone with access to its details may redeem it.

How is the voucher delivered?
Choose free Email Delivery to the buyer, a printed voucher for venue collection, DX Mail, or NZ$8 Overnight Courier. Email normally arrives within a few minutes; allow up to 7 working days for DX Mail during busy periods. Overnight Courier does not guarantee next-day arrival.
Can the recipient choose any room?
Yes. They may choose any currently available Escape Artists Christchurch room, subject to ordinary availability and the usual booking rules.
How long is a gift voucher valid?
Gift vouchers are valid for 36 months. The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
Can the recipient pay the difference?
A voucher cannot be used for an online price difference. Choose pay on arrival and contact Christchurch if the booking total differs from the voucher value.
Can a voucher be used more than once?
Yes. Unused value remains on the voucher, and the same voucher may be used across multiple bookings until its value is exhausted or it expires.
Can multiple vouchers be combined?
No. Multiple gift vouchers cannot be combined together in a single booking.
What if the voucher is lost or the email is missing?
Contact Escape Artists Christchurch and the team can help locate and replace it where possible.
Can I schedule delivery to the recipient?
No. Immediate email is sent to the buyer, not directly to the recipient, and scheduled recipient delivery is not currently offered.
Can a voucher be exchanged for cash or transferred?
Gift-voucher purchases are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. A voucher may be transferred or given to another person.
Is it valid outside Christchurch?
No. These vouchers are valid only for experiences at Escape Artists Christchurch.
Can it be used for a workplace or group booking?
Yes. It may be redeemed against normal Christchurch group, workplace or corporate bookings, subject to the usual voucher and booking rules.
Are promotional codes the same as gift vouchers?
No. Paid gift vouchers and promotional or discount codes are separate products and may have different validity, redemption rules, exclusions and terms.
