Escape Artists Dunedin is looking for new Game Masters to help deliver fun and memorable escape room experiences.
Game Masters are responsible for running games from start to finish — welcoming players, briefing them on their mission, monitoring their progress, and resetting the rooms ready for the next group. You’ll be the main point of contact for players during their visit and play an important role in making sure every group has a great experience.
We are currently hiring for two types of roles:
Permanent Part-Time
A regular Saturday shift (approx. 6 hours per week). Saturdays are one of our busiest days, so this role helps ensure games run smoothly throughout the day. There are also opportunities to pick up additional shifts when they become available.
Casual
Casual Game Masters help cover additional shifts when demand increases or other staff are unavailable, such as evenings, weekends, and school holidays. Hours will vary depending on bookings, but extra shifts are often available.

-
Welcoming players and delivering engaging game briefings
-
Monitoring games and providing hints to help teams progress
-
Resetting rooms between bookings so they are ready for the next group
-
Processing payments and assisting with bookings when needed
-
Keeping the venue clean, organised, and ready for customers
-
Keeping an eye on puzzles and props to ensure everything is functioning correctly
This Role Suits Someone Who
-
Enjoys interacting with people and creating memorable experiences
-
